Hey, great site! My brother was telling me about an old film, possibly from the 1940s or 50s, which was in colour (might have been colourized) and set in the South Pacific. In it, there was a teacher who kept repeating the sentence, “This is a picture of a basket”, and trying to get the kids to repeat after him. Can you help us find the name of this movie? We want to make a ringtone out of the guy saying, “This is a picture of a basket”. Thanks so much!

Comment by James — April 1, 2007 @ 5:22 am
In your script for Breakfast at Tiffany’s, you left out a portion…
It should read: “You’re afraid to stick out your chin and say” instead of “YOU’RE AFRAID TO SAY.”
YOU KNOW
WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU,
MISS WHOEVER-YOU-ARE?
YOU’RE CHICKEN.
YOU GOT NO GUTS.
YOU’RE AFRAID TO SAY,
“O.K., LIFE’S A FACT.”
PEOPLE DO FALL IN LOVE.
PEOPLE DO BELONG
TO EACH OTHER,
BECAUSE THAT’S THE ONLY
CHANCE ANYBODY’S GOT
FOR REAL HAPPINESS.
YOU CALL YOURSELF
A FREE SPIRIT,
A WILD THING.
YOU’RE TERRIFIED
SOMEBODY’S GOING TO
STICK YOU IN A CAGE.
WELL, BABY, YOU’RE
ALREADY IN THAT CAGE.
YOU BUILT IT YOURSELF.
AND IT’S NOT BOUNDED
BY TULIP, TEXAS,
OR SOMALILAND.
IT’S WHEREVER YOU GO.
BECAUSE NO MATTER
WHERE YOU RUN,
YOU JUST END UP
RUNNING INTO YOURSELF.

This is a very good website for movie scripts. As a person who always bear a great interest in the classic movies, I find that when you spend time reading the moviescripts, you can enjoy the film more deeply and learn more from it, not just a sort of entertainment. I am glad to see that several of my favorite films can be found with scripts available here, and I hope this website can improve and provide more day after day. Thank you.
